One of the rarest DD dials…
We are very excited to offer one of the rarest Day-Dates known as the "Pleiades" dial, featuring two different settings of diamonds across a solid gold dial.
In Greek mythology, Pleiades were the seven daughters of the Titan Atlas, who turned his daughters into stars to protect them from the hunter Orion.
These dials were made in small numbers and was an CHF 11,000 option in the 1990s ! This is a very special Day-Date that would be star of any collector’s line up, we love it ! The case remains thick and sharp with nice even lugs and the fluted bezel still has good definition.
This watch has an English day disc and the double quick-set automatic movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
The watch will come on the pictured Bulang and Sons leather strap that is fitted with an original Rolex plaque buckle.
